About the Artist From a very young age, the artist saw things others could not, her many drawings tried to  reflect what she saw as a way of explaining to those around her, her thoughts and her  visions. Her sketches were frowned upon and dismissed as childish fantasies. Because of  the reaction to her designs, they were kept out of sight and only brought out amongst  people she felt safe with. Beginning to explore and express her own sexuality in 1976, a very private collection of  designs grew based on the sacred feminine and the artist's "visions". In the years to follow,  the total lack of beautiful, female designs depicting and representing their sexuality saw the  shy emergence of commissioned art displaying women and their love. These artworks were  only painted on request and never displayed anywhere apart from the client's home. More  traditional art and design of seascapes, landscapes, flora and fauna were the visible  portfolio of the artist who's signature, waterwench, appeared on everything she created.   She left Waterwench© Designs locked away with her portfolio until an accident that caused  her physical disabilities and exploded her schizoaffective disorder into full bloom, saw her  finally begin to share her designs and artwork. It was not until she arrived in Western Australia in 1988 that the artist felt safe with who she  was and started to allow others into her world to view very limited examples of artworks,  writings and sketches without ever revealing the extent of her portfolio and her abilities.  About Waterwench Designs
